- To prevent injuries at our own premises, at the client’s premises or in transit to either our personnel or third parties.
- To ensure that “Safety” is a line-management and supervisory responsibility.
- To create a sound and responsible working environment.
- To create adequate awareness on safety by providing relevant training of all personnel.
- To create interest and enthusiasm from all parties concerned.
- To reaffirm that every job is done safely and that safety is a collective responsibility.

Safety Slogan
Introduction & Overview of Safety Slogan
Our extensive and thorough survey of the behaviour patterns of our workers established the following:
- That the introduction and implementation of the HSSE Policies and standards by the Management has been adequately established.
- That the awareness of the reasons and impact of these policies exists within all staff.
- That there is general willingness and compliance to the practical implementation of these policies by all staff members.
However, what also came to light was that though the awareness, willingness, ability and compliance to the laid out policies was elevated, the general ATTITUDE noted was that such policies, however important and useful as they may be, were PERCEIVED as an imposition and a distraction from the routine that most of us have grown accustomed to.
In view of this, the Management embarked upon an earnest search for an “HSSE Company Slogan” that would generate not only a change in attitude but; a massive change of “Perception” of what the “REAL” personal benefits of such policies are.
In search for this “MIRACLE SLOGAN”, we asked the following fundamental sample questions to a wide spectrum of our staff members:
- Why does one engage in gainful employment?
- Who are the most important people in the lives of the employees?
- What does one spend the earnings derived from gainful employment?
- What are an employee’s dreams and aspirations from gainful employment?
- Who are the real beneficiaries should such dreams and aspirations come true?
- When at work, whom does an employee think of the most?
- How & with whom does an employee spend the most time when not at working?
Upon analysing the responses received, we came to the conclusion that the underlying answers revolved around concerns for the well being and secured future of our families.
The challenge was in establishing how we could use this information and apply it in a manner that would bring about the desired changes to the prevailing perceptions and attitudes.
After much brain storming the answer was as simple as the responses we had received:
“ I LOVE MY FAMILY! ”
Objective of the Safety Slogan
The prime objective of this slogan was to purposefully reinforce the HSSE Policies and practices. Subsequently, we embarked on the introduction of the Safety Slogan by undertaking an intensive awareness program to create a sense of urgency for the need to create a paradigm change in the prevailing perceptions and attitudes. Resultantly, it dawned on all Members of our team that every action, whether at work, on the road, at home or anywhere, has a direct impact on not only our families but also on families of others that we interact with. Other benefits noted were the increase in levels of responsibility towards safety, personal health and general well being of Company property.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the implementation of the safety Slogan has created a Family of team players who respect and practice the highest standards of HSSE.
